APN

Connecting your phone to the internet is very simple and requires only a few steps. Here, you can learn step by step which settings you need to adjust to use your data volume worry-free in Switzerland and abroad.

Select the operating system of your smartphone

Important note about “data roaming”: On some smartphones, the “data roaming” option must be activated first — don’t worry, this does not cause any additional costs. This also applies if you only want to use your phone in Switzerland.

Before you start, check whether “data roaming” is activated:

Settings
Mobile Data
Activate Data Roaming

To establish an internet connection:

Open Settings
Select Mobile Data
Then choose Mobile Data Network
Now fill in the following fields:

MOBILE DATA
APN: web.mtel.ch
Name: mtel

LTE CONFIGURATION
APN: web.mtel.ch
Name: mtel

PERSONAL HOTSPOT
APN: web.mtel.ch
Name: mtel

Note: Some labels may vary slightly depending on the iOS version.
